“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything” (Philippians 4:6).
If we prayed as much as we worried, we’d have a whole lot less to worry about.
In fact, God doesn’t just want you to stop worrying. He wants you spend time praying, too?
It’s our best antidote for worry.
God has already promised to take care of you. If it’s not worth praying about, it’s not worth worrying about. God knows every need you have. Talk to Him about them.
When children have a need they go ahead and ask their parents. Sometimes they have expensive requests. But they do not once wonder where the parents will get the money. It is not their job to figure out where the money would come from. That is the parents job. A child’s job is to ask.
It’s not your job to figure out how your needs will be met. It’s your job to ask God to meet them.
When you worry instead of asking, you’re acting like at atheist. Worry is practical UNBELIEF. It’s acting like you don’t have a heavenly Father—and that you’re a spiritual orphan.
Many people say they don’t pray because they don’t want to bother God with their problems. But there’s nothing too small for God. Every problem you face is small compared to the vastness of God.
Isreal came out of Egypt and entered the wilderness after crossing the Red Sea. God was faithful every step of the way. They had water, manna, protection day and night, good health and clothing. Despite all these gifts of God, they were disobedient and full of unbelief all the way. Their actions finally denied them entry into the promised land. When you refuse to count your blessings and trust God for the future, are you doing anything different?
God is ready and willing to not only listen to your problems but also to answer them. The answer may not be what you expect, however you can be sure that God will hear you and in His perfect will, order your situation according to His own wisdom and glory.
The Bible says it rather bluntly: “Pray without ceasing, … and the peace of God will ……”

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being a dependable father and loving God. I know the plans you have for me are for my good and to bring me to my appointed place. Thank You for the joy of answered prayers. I put my trust in You in Jesus name. Amen
